Make sure to use a PH neutral soap that does not contain any waxes as to not wear down your coating. We recommend Meguiar's Gold Class or Optimum No Rinse diluted per instructions.
You should rinse your wash mitt in a clean bucket of pure water after every panel as to prevent transferring dirt and grime back to the vehicle. It is highly recommended to use a grit guard in the bucket so any dirt remains at the bottom and doesn't contaminate your rinse water. We recommend The Rag Company® Cyclone for your wash mitt which can be found on Amazon®.
It is preferred to use 1000+ GSM microfiber for drying. We recommend The Rag Company® Liquid8r which can be found on Amazon®.
• Use an automatic car wash, touch free or not. While the brushes can damage your wrap, touch free washes rely on harsh chemicals to compensate for the lack of agitation. This can compromise the coating as well as the top coat of the wrap affecting the lifespan.
• Allow bird droppings, tree sap, or other stains to sit on your vehicle for over 24 hours.
• Use any kind of tire shine other than water based. Any kind of slinging from tire shine will permanently stain your wrap. This is especially true for matte and satin finishes.
• Use a pressure washer with a nozzle steeper than 40 degrees. We recommend avoiding a pressure washer altogether, but if you must, keep the head at least 3 feet away
• Use any kind of solvents, degreasers, or carnauba products
• Use yellow microfibers, especially on white vehicles.
